Sustainable Food Systems
Food security in the Bulkley-Skeena watershed is top of mind when we set out on a new community project. On May 19, 2017, with the help of some great people, a Food Security Forum took place in Smithers, BC with a focus on Emergency Preparedness. See our Facebook page called Hwy 16 Food Security Network for ongoing progress https://www.facebook.com/16FSN/.
Final Report - The proceedings from that event take about 20 minutes to read and monthly updates on implementation of recommendations are also available.
Mailing List - To get on the mailing list to receive updates and/or to get directly involved with food security initiatives, please contact email@example.com.
Video - A great video of the forum was put together by photo journalist Dan Mesic and is just under 3 minutes long. https://vimeo.com/233076472
